per request of my sister, i am writing something new. but if you miss crack man, he's only a scroll below.

so wednesday was one of those days that can be described by saying when it rains it pours, or snows rather. i had to be at a shoot at 6:30 am in salt lake city. I had to get up at 5:15 to be there on time ( http://www.mountainlanddesign.com/l ) It was a really cool place to film, but it was so bloody early. they wanted us out before they opened at nine am.

well that was the first. charles and i rushed home to make it to two sound booth recordings. then i had to run to class. following class i rushed to another film shoot on campus. rushing being the key word. our shoot had to be at the beginning of this teacher's class because that was when he plays U2 music to his class, blah blah blah.

whatever the case it was a long long day. i've been sitting at my desk twitteling my thumbs watching high definition trailers on my massive computer screen with my genelec speakers. and then BAM! four places for me to be in one day. sound rules.

the dmv

As you can see I had the BEST seat at the DMV today. the purple car is now a member of utah. i spent the 100 dollars i was planning on spending on john mayer on licensing the car. well i guess it was only 1/2 of what i was planning on spending for mayer since i was going to buy two tickets. i'm still a little sad that i'm not going, but atleast i have this man's crack to console me.

long time gone

i'm listening to dixie chicks' long time gone right now as i write.

in a very crude way, i'd like to explain how i feel. i would like to use a very large zit to represent my life. until last week the white nasty part of my life finally came to a head and popped! there are still my normal things to worry about, but my life for the moment doesn't hurt right now. it was nice to go to arizona and having nothing really to worry about.

i guess the best part for me was the fact that i finally have a car again. no more burb driving. and the honda showed it's true colors as i drove it home from mesa yesterday. 10.5 hours, with a stop to visit my friend for about an hour in flagstaff. no problems from the car and that's what i like.

i enjoy my family. i still have to sometimes remember that my older siblings are parents and in charge of the care of little kids. i spent some time playing nintendo and loved the fact that seth wanted to sit there and watch me. on sunday morning he came up to me and say "nick, let's do something, just the two of us." basically meaning play mega man and i'll watch. the phrase "growing up" seems in a away perpetual to me because there will probably always be kids growing up and for a long time because emily won't be having kids for atleast 10 years or so. and she'll start having kids and i would say that maybe when she hits 30, seth will be married and having kids. kind of a crazy thought.

perpetual growing up. which means i NEVER have to grow up since there will always be kids around for me to play with. haha. yay!

iGeneration

This is the first rough cut of my application video which I will be handing in to the department in 10 days along with all the other crap I've mentioned in earlier posts. I have to admit, it's not what I saw being created but ultimately it will get the same message across. I think it's unique and different than anything else they'll get.

PS when i say rough cut, I mean the video is pretty much locked, but the audio is yet to be worked on. I have ten days....plenty of time. haha.
